Basil-Lemon Drizzle

Basil–Lemon Drizzle

This Basil–Lemon Drizzle is one of my forever staples, the kind of sauce I return to again and again. I discovered it while learning how to eat cleaner and more intentionally, and it quickly became a favorite. Fresh, bright, and deeply comforting, it’s proof that healthy food doesn’t need to be complicated to be delicious. The vibrance from the basil is lifted by the lemon, and grounded with a good quality olive oil. This drizzle instantly brings life to vegetables, fish, grains, eggs, and salads. Simple ingredients, real flavor, and a feeling of care in every spoonful. The following recipe makes about ¾ cup.

  • Juice and zest of ½ lemon
  • 1 garlic clove
  • Pinch of sea salt
  • Freshly cracked black pepper to taste

Optionally, to round it out

  • Blend until smooth and vibrant.
