Ingredients

  • 2 oz Thai tea concentrate see instructions below
  • 1.5 oz tequila blanco or reposado for a smoother finish
  • Optional Garnish: Star anise, cinnamon stick, or a sprinkle of ground cardamom

For the Thai Tea Concentrate:

  • 2 cups water
  • ¼ cup Thaimee Tea Powder or other brand
  • 1 tbsp sugar or sweetener or to taste
  • 1 tbsp sweetened condensed milk or coconut milk for a dairy-free option
  • Ice, for shaking

Instructions

  • Bring the water to a boil in a saucepan.
  • Add the Thai tea mix and sugar stirring to dissolve.
  • Simmer for 5 minutes then strain to remove tea leaves.
  • Add in condensed milk.
  • Let cool completely before using.

  • Fill a martini glass with ice water and let it sit while you prepare the drink. Discard the ice water before pouring.

  • Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add the Thai tea concentrate, tequila, coffee liqueur (if using), and sweetened condensed milk. Shake vigorously for about 10–15 seconds until well chilled.

Strain and Pour:

  • Strain the mixture into the chilled martini glass.
