Give your cocktail hour a bold twist with this Thai Iced Tea Martini featuring Tequila! This creative drink blends the creamy, spiced flavors of traditional Thai iced tea with the vibrant kick of tequila, creating a unique fusion that’s perfect for any occasion.

Serves 1

Ingredients (Serves 1):

  • 2 oz Thai tea concentrate (see instructions below)

  • 1.5 oz tequila blanco (or reposado for a smoother finish)

  • Optional Garnish: Star anise, cinnamon stick, or a sprinkle of ground cardamom

For the Thai Tea Concentrate:

  • 2 cups water

  • ¼ cup Thaimee Tea Powder (or other brand)

  • 1 tablespoon sugar or sweetener, or to taste

  • 1 tablespoon sweetened condensed milk (or coconut milk for a dairy-free option)

  • Ice, for shaking

  1. Bring the water to a boil in a saucepan.

  2. Add the Thai tea mix and sugar, stirring to dissolve.

  3. Simmer for 5 minutes, then strain to remove tea leaves.

  4. Add in condensed milk.

  5. Let cool completely before using.

Instructions:

  1. Chill the Glass:

    • Fill a martini glass with ice water and let it sit while you prepare the drink. Discard the ice water before pouring.

  2. Shake the Ingredients:

    • Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add the Thai tea concentrate, tequila, coffee liqueur (if using), and sweetened condensed milk. Shake vigorously for about 10–15 seconds until well chilled.

  3. Strain and Pour:

    • Strain the mixture into the chilled martini glass.

  4. Garnish and Serve:

    • Garnish with a star anise, a cinnamon stick, or a sprinkle of ground cardamom for an aromatic finish. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Chef’s Tips:

  • Balance the Sweetness: Adjust the amount of sweetened condensed milk to suit your preference.

  • Customize the Flavor: Use tequila reposado for a slightly sweeter and more complex profile.

  • Mocktail Version: Skip the tequila and coffee liqueur, and enjoy a non-alcoholic creamy Thai iced tea instead.

This Thai Iced Tea Martini with Tequila is a flavorful and fun cocktail that pairs the rich, spiced notes of Thai tea with the bold character of tequila. Perfect for adventurous drinkers and anyone looking for a new twist on classic flavors. Cheers!
