Vol. 1 Pad Kee Mao and Mango Sticky Rice Sundae

Pad Kee Mao or Drunken Noodles is one of the most popular Thai stir fried noodle dishes. I will show you how to make it at home step by step and it will be better than take out. FYI, my Pad Kee Mao was the top 20 most searched recipe on NY Times cooking in 2022. 

Mango Sticky Rice Sundae has made its name when it comes to Thai desserts. I will show you my own techniques of making this dessert seamless so that you can again, make it your own for you and your loved ones!  I decided to make it more fun by adding the ice cream and call it a “sundae”. Please feel free to opt out the ice cream. 

Class Notes:

  1. Although you might be familiar with thick rice noodles for Pad Kee Mao, many Thais apply the dish to many varieties of noodles. Be creative and have fun. In this class, I will be using a linguine. 

  2. Please make sure that you submerge and soak the sticky rice in room temperature water for at least 6 hrs or overnight before class. 

  3. Emergency plan, if you totally forget, please hydrate the sticky rice with hot water. It helps expediting.
